Where data lives, you decide.

Per-dataset residency: pick the cloud region, the colocation provider, or the on-prem cluster. No "world-region" defaults.
Cloud target can be an S3-compatible MinIO/Ceph endpoint that YOU operate — no AWS / Azure / GCP lock-in.
AES-256 keys held by your KMS or HSM. Syneto does not see plaintext.
Egress audit: every replication / restore action emits a signed event you can review.
EU residency by default

CENTRAL itself is hosted exclusively in EU datacentres (Frankfurt + Milan). Telemetry never leaves EU jurisdiction. ISO/IEC 27001 audited.
